A new 8-page brochure from Agilent Automation Solutions entitled 'Genomics in Motion' provides an introduction to the company's range of automation solutions for specific Genomic Research applications.

In Genomic Research - the collection of the large data sets resulting from increasing numbers of samples and assays can be challenging and labor intensive, increasing the time it takes to move from research questions to the data that can decisively answer them.

To meet these challenges - Agilent say that they have developed optimized automation systems that allow users to increase the number of reactions they can perform in parallel, reducing the amount of sample processing time and increasing the number of samples each researcher can process while reducing the amount of sample-to-sample variability.

Productive, yet simple-to-use automation solutions to increase reproducibility in gene expression profiling, enhance precision in PCR and qPCR experiments, reduce the time to results in next generation sequencing, optimize transfection conditions for functional genomics and generate better SNP genotyping data quality are described in the brochure.

The brochure also provides background information on the automated liquid handling systems, microplate handlers, sealers, seal piercers, centrifuges, barcode labelers and unified software platform that Agilent Automation Solutions use to create an optimized benchtop or free-standing system for automating a complete Genomic Research workflow.
