BioDiscovery Releases ImaGene 7 Microarray Image Analysis Software and Associated aCGH Module
BioDiscovery Inc. has announced the release of ImaGene 7 microarray image analysis software, featuring an integrated interactive array-based Comparative Genomic Hybridization (CGH) analysis module.
Utilizing patented algorithms and processes, ImaGene 7.0 provides the data from spotted microarray experiments.
A significant feature in ImaGene 7 is the optional aCGH Module providing complete aCGH analysis and visualization.
Utilizing BioDiscovery’s own statistical clustering algorithm, the software can identify regions of chromosomal gain and loss in seconds with high confidence.
A set of interactive plots, including a whole genome, single chromosome, genome overview, genome summary plots are provided to visualize the analysis results and "drill-down" to individual spots and segmentation maps.
Like all previous versions of ImaGene, snapshots of the analysis allow reviewable results analysis at a later date.
Additional ImaGene 7 features include a GAL reader supporting additional spot orientations a refined interface including an improved settings dialog, image display controls and enhanced operating system specific look and feel.
"ImaGene 7 represents the largest advancement in our microarray image analysis suite since the release of ImaGene 4," said BioDiscovery CEO Soheil Shams.
"The new aCGH module demonstrates our emphasis on integrating emerging technologies but doing so in a manner that never sacrifices ease of use for our end users."
