Bio-Synthesis Inc. unveils a new online software tool called Protein Lounge. Protein Lounge has joined with Bio-Synthesis (BSI) to bring all of the necessary databases to one place. By utilizing BSI’s homepage, user will have access to the Protein Database, Peptide Antigen Database, and the siRNA Database.

The Protein Database contains all of the necessary information for proteins, such as datasheets, reviews, signaling pathway relation, disease relation, sequences, publications and reagent links. This database offers the comprehensive gene/protein sequence pages which have all pertinent information needed to analyze any sequence.

The Peptide Antigen Database contains antigenic peptide targets against all known protein sequences throughout a variety of organisms. All peptide targets are linked to the online hydroplotting tool, which allows users to view a version of the protein sequence on a hydrophilicity/phobicity plot.

The siRNA Database is a comprehensive record that contains siRNA targets against all known mRNA sequences throughout a variety of organisms. All genes in this database are linked to Protein and Pathway databases, giving user detailed information about the genes which the siRNA targets, which is necessary for gene expression analysis and high-throughput screening.

Another feature of this tool is the Online Lab Notebook. Users can save the information from their searches in the notebook, and retrieve it later. All information is secure and can only be accessed with user log in information.
