EPICENTRE Biotechnologies Announces the Release of Ribonuclease R

Read time: Less than a minute

EPICENTRE Biotechnologies has announced the release of Ribonuclease R, a magnesium-dependent 3®5' exoribonuclease that digests essentially all linear RNAs but will not digest lariat or circular RNA structures.

Intron RNA can be isolated from total RNA samples by digestion with RNase R. After digestion, only lariat structures that are produced during the pre-mRNA splicing of intron regions remain. Applications include alternative splicing studies, gene expression studies, intron cDNA production, and intronic screening of cDNA libraries.
