EPICENTRE’s EZ-Tn5™ Transposomes can be used as a tool for gene expression and function studies in microorganisms.

Simply electroporate the EZ-Tn5 Transposome complex into the microorganism of choice, and screen for the transposon-encoded resistance marker, the company says

The EZ-Tn5 Transposome inserts in a random manner into bacterial chromosomes or endogenous plasmids. Uses include new bacterial strain development (gene knock-ins), location of specific genetic markers on chromosomes and plasmids, and creating gene knockouts.

Protocols are also available for constructing custom transposomes using EPICENTRE’s pMOD-series Transposon Construction Vectors and purified EZ-Tn5 Transposase.
