Free Data-Mining Software by MicroDiscovery

MicroDiscovery has announced that it will make its data mining software “BioMiner” available for free.

BioMiner is designed to excel in organising and visualising high-throughput data – especially from microarray experiments – and offers a multitude of analysis functions, e.g., Normalization, Clustering and Tests for Significance.

“For successful biochip experiments, the pure quantity of data isn’t crucial – it’s the ability to filter the information that is actually relevant,” states MicroDiscovery’s CEO, Dr. Arif Malik.

“BioMiner tremendously simplifies this process, which also includes linking to other data sources.”

Complementing the free BioMiner software, MicroDiscovery offers expert scientific consulting services.

BioMiner can be downloaded from MicroDiscovery’s web site where also other products of the company are available for testing.
