With the Conducell PWSE Arc PG 13.5, Hamilton has now added a 2-pole ultra-pure water sensor to its product line that is suitable for standard fittings and offers all the functions of an Arc sensor.
The Conducell PWSE Arc PG 13.5 meets several requirements at once: Thanks to its electro-polished stainless steel shaft, an unrestricted use in pharmaceutical and biotechnological processes is possible.
All parts that come in contact with media have a FDA approval. The sensor is easy to clean and resists steam sterilization, CIP cleaning and autoclaving.
Its process connection is new, however: With the PG 13.5 stainless steelthread, it can be installed in all standard fittings.
Additionally, the Conducell PWSE Arc PG 13.5 offers the user all functions of a Hamilton Arc sensor: direct communication with the process control system via the VP 8 sensor head with analog (4-20 mA) and digital Modbus interface (RS 485), monitoring of all sensor functions and sensor quality, online and offline calibration, self-calibration function as well as storage of all process-relevant data.
The sensor has been approved for a temperature range from 0 to 110 °C (analog interface) or 0 to 130 °C (digital interface) and comes with two digital alarm outputs in accordance with USP <645>.
With this new development, Hamilton expands its Conducell PWSE Arc sensor series that guarantee the user reliable ultra-pure water control and can be used in all application fields from pharmacy and biotechnology all the way to power plants and the semi-conductor industry.
