PentaBase launches Real-time PCR assay service

Danish biotech company PentaBase has launched it’s real-time PCR assay service program. The service program is aimed at assisting scientists in developing and optimizing their real-time PCR assays. PentaBase is offering 5 different levels of service. The levels are ranging from the simple and free of charge Level 1 - ”Change of Technology” switching from DNA based primers and probes to PentaBase’s proprietary and outperforming technologies, to the close collaboration where they are offering companies their own ”external employees” working at PentaBase.

”With the already expired and soon to expire patents in PCR and real-time PCR and the concurrent movement towards Personalized Medicine, many companies are now starting to develop their own genetic diagnostics. Doing so many companies have also realized that they need the best technology available to get a cutting edge on their diagnostic kits. It is our humble opinion that PentaBase’s proprietary technologies are the best real-time PCR primers and probes seen so far. We have therefore intiated this service program to help developers of diagnostic kits, to create top class, outperforming assays.
