PREMIER Biosoft has announced the launch of a free tools portal on their website, dedicating their efforts to the life science community.

The portal offers the following free tools: NetPrimer (oligo properties calculation), Beacon Designer Free Edition (for qPCR) and MutaPrimer (mutagenesis primer design for Stratagene's QuikChange kits).

"Even before the launch of this section, NetPrimer was receiving huge traffic, serving thousands of researchers. It has been cited in over hundred research publications. Looking at the popularity of this tool, we were encouraged to author more. We then decided to offer the research community a free edition of Beacon Designer." says Kay Brown, V.P. Business Development and Marketing.

PREMIER Biosoft is now planning to add more tools to this portal with the aim to resolve routine, repetitive problems for researchers. The tools would improve the workflow and save time in the lab.
