Safe and Productive Concentration of DNA Samples

Read time: Less than a minute

Barnstead Genevac has introduced a new optimized concentrator for safe and productive preparation of DNA samples. The system is part of the miVac range of centrifugal concentrators for molecular biology applications.

The miVac DNA concentrator is the result of extensive market research with biologists around the world and has been designed to prepare DNA samples efficiently and safely.  The miVac DNA offers digital control of concentrator temperature and short concentration times, reducing the risk of heat damage to your samples.

According to Barnstead Genevac, unlike centrifugal filters, the miVac DNA concentrates effortlessly and returns 100% of your samples every time, and with no consumable costs. The miVac DNAis designed to provide scientists everything they need to safely and swiftly concentrate or dry their samples in a compact easy-to-use package.

The design has no motor and is therefore very quiet running.  Simple "select & set" single control knob control enables even new users to obtain excellent results first time.

To facilitate full experimental flexibility the miVac DNA also allows advanced users access to special operational modes to speed up concentration of water or water / alcohol mixtures.
