Sigma-Aldrich Launches GenElute™ HP Endotoxin-Free Kits

Read time: Less than a minute

Sigma-Aldrich has announced the introduction of GenElute HP Endotoxin-Free Giga Select kits for isolation of endotoxin-free plasmid DNA from recombinant E. coli cultures.

Sigma claims that, up to 14 mg of high copy plasmid with < 0.1 Endotoxin Units/ug can be recovered in less than 2 hours.

This addition to the GenElute HP Endotoxin-Free product line also includes Maxi and Megaprep kits.

"Sigma has raised the bar on plasmid purification by improving upon yield, speed and endotoxin removal," commented Keith Jolliff, Global Marketing Manager of Molecular Biology at Sigma-Aldrich.

"With nearly undetectable levels of endotoxin, the Giga Select kit will give customers doing gene therapy studies and transfection of endotoxin sensitive cell lines an excellent tool for accelerating their research."
