Thermo Fisher Scientific Introduces High Fidelity DNA Polymerase for Yield of PCR Products

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. has announced the new Thermo Scientific Verbatim High Fidelity DNA Polymerase. According to Thermo Fisher Scientificm this advanced DNA polymerase allows highly accurate amplification of DNA templates, equivalent to industry leading proofreading enzymes, while maintaining processing speed and delivering high yields.
These high-performance characteristics make Verbatim High Fidelity DNA Polymerase ideal for demanding downstream applications such as cloning, site-directed mutagenesis and sequencing.
High Fidelity PCR requires a DNA polymerase with proofreading capabilities, and should be used in applications requiring accurate amplification of a DNA target.
Thermo Scientific demonstrated the advanced proofreading capabilities of Verbatim High Fidelity DNA Polymerase during in an in-house comparative evaluation. Verbatim demonstrated its performance by delivering greater enzyme fidelity than all other enzymes tested1.
Verbatim High Fidelity DNA Polymerase also demonstrates increased affinity for DNA templates, which significantly improves yield and processivity. This increased processivity allows PCR protocol times to be reduced by up to 75 percent, for faster results. Enhanced DNA binding affinity also ensures that Verbatim is suitable for a broad range of templates, and the enzyme is supplied with two optimized buffering systems - one for standard templates and the other for more complex targets.
Thermo Scientific Verbatim High Fidelity DNA Polymerase kits are available with or without dNTPs.
