Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., has introduced the Thermo Scientific TriPlus RSH Autosampler featuring exceptional precision, flexibility and productivity in sampling solutions.
Compatible with Thermo Scientific GC and GC/MS systems, the autosampler sets new standards in automation and provides advanced liquid handling cycles that enable automated functionality beyond traditional liquid, headspace and solid-phase microextraction (SPME) injections.
This flexible sampling solution will be showcased at the 31st International Symposium on Halogenated Persistent Organic Pollutants - Dioxin 2011, in Brussels, Belgium, August 21 - 25, 2011.
Designed to provide exceptional repeatability and reliability, the TriPlus™ RSH Autosampler delivers high-quality analytical results and features precise built-in automation to improve productivity and prevent human error.
The TriPlus RSH sampling system brings together several technology innovations that further expand autosampling productivity, performance and versatility.
The Automatic Tool Change (ATC) capability enables seamless operation by automating the exchange of syringes for different tasks in a single, unattended sequence prior to sample injection.
In this way, high-precision sample-handling capabilities eliminate the need for extensive manual labor and downtime traditionally required to complete tasks, such as standard or stock sample dilutions, internal standard addition and derivatization.
Another significant feature provided by this new sampling system is the ability to expand unattended operations and productivity by offering unprecedented sample capacity.
Unequivocal lab throughput is attainable by using one of the largest sample capacities available for an autosampler.
A sample vial capacity of 648 2-mL vials, combined with multiple 100-mL wash/waste bottles, allows the Thermo Scientific TriPlus RSH to achieve weekend-long unattended operations - a goal not attainable with most other sampling systems currently on the market.
Vial Bottom Sensing is a further innovation that expands the application range of the TriPlus RSH autosampler.
Precisely detecting the vial bottom, the autosampler accurately withdraws microliters or fractions of microliters from a sample as low as five microliters in a vial.
Trace analysis, radioactive samples or samples requiring expensive internal standards are just a few examples of the applications that benefit from this breakthrough.
