Read time: Less than a minute

Waters Corporation has announced that it will introduce the Waters MassPREP™ Phosphopeptide Enrichment Kit at the 55th ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) in Indianapolis, IN.

The Waters MassPREP Phosphopeptide Enrichment Kit can enable scientists in the biopharmaceutical, proteomics, biotechnology and life science markets, to selectively and efficiently enrich phosphopeptides for liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry analysis.

This kit is the first in a series of sample prep product offerings designed to assist researchers analyze complex biological samples utilizing Waters UPLC® technology.

The MassPREP Phosphopeptide Enrichment Kit includes a robust 96-well micro-scale solid-phase extraction (SPE) plate packed with an affinity sorbent.

The company says that the kit can offer better performance than immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) technology and does not require pre-loading the sorbent with metal chelator.

The offering achieves higher recovery of phosphopeptides than with other affinity-based methods and contains a chemical (MassPREP Enhancer™) that further improves the selectivity of phosphopeptides. A standard test sample is included, enabling users to validate and optimize experimental conditions.

The MassPREP Phosphopeptide Enrichment Kit features efficient affinity-based enrichment tools, simple sample prep protocol, and a robust, reproducible, high-throughput analysis capability. The kit can be used on Waters® UPLC/MS and LC/MS systems.
