The Darwin Tree of Life Project
Professor Mark Blaxter, Lead of the Tree of Programme at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, explains how the Darwin Tree of Life project will help conservation efforts across the UK. The ambitious project aims to ultimately read the DNA code (genomes) of all 60,000 complex species (birds, animals, fish, plants and parasites) found in the UK.
