The operation will produce antibodies with a guaranteed titer of 15000:1 to immunogen from rabbits, goats and chickens; reared in a humane environment, within the stringent conditions of the United States Department of Agriculture and the National Institutions of Health. Abcore’s San Diego office will also offer a serviced facility for European companies to trade across North America under their own brand.

Abcore’s caring animal husbandry process ensures the development of healthy animals which provide high quality, untarnished, antibodies. Southern California’s mild year round climate allows the animals to be housed in open air facilities; in a stress free environment; under constant observation from experienced certified animal technicians and fed on a specially developed diet.

With the opening of the San Diego Office, Abcore’s US clients can benefit from quick delivery of products they know have been produced to the highest possible standards within nationally recognized guidelines and monitoring processes and they can speak directly to the local office.  Importation of serums to Europe will be handled by Abcore’s UK office, which will also cover transatlantic transport costs.

Abcore’s San Diego office will provide marketing, distribution, technical and market development services easing the ability for European biotech companies to trade across North America under their own brand.  By using Abcore’s services, companies can substantially reduce much of the cost and time that biotech companies usually have to undergo, to trade across the world’s biggest Life Science market.

Tim Bernard, director, Abcore, said, “Healthy animals provide healthy antibodies, and the environment and scientific practice at our San Diego facility ensures Abcore’s products are some of the best available and of a guaranteed high standard.  Our new office also provides European biotech companies with the chance to establish a base in the USA, without any of the usual obstacles, from which they can grow under their own identity.”
