OneNeck® IT Services has announced the company has signed a contract with Merieux NurtriSciences. OneNeck, a division of TDS Hosted & Managed Services, LLC (TDS HMS), will provide the global food science company with hosted application management and disaster recovery services for their Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and JD Edwards (JDE) environments on ReliaCloud™, its industrial strength infrastructure platform.
“My team felt OneNeck had the right combination of Tier 3 data center capacity, leading edge cloud compute technology with their ReliaCloud platform, and technical expertise to manage our enterprise systems,” said Tim Daniels, CIO at Merieux NutriSciences. “In addition, their focus on customer service was another big factor in our choosing to move forward with OneNeck as our IT solution partner.”
With more than 70 laboratories located in 18 countries, Merieux NutriSciences is a trusted global partner providing services and solutions from food and environmental safety and quality to research in nutrition. These services and solutions are offered across the supply chain on a global basis to improve public health.
Before contracting with OneNeck, Merieux NutriSciences was supporting their North American and European operations out of third-party and internal data centers located around the world. Not only were they being managed by multiple providers but the hardware was also aging, which could have led to performance issues or costly technology refreshes.
“We knew we needed to make a change,” said Chris Noreikis, Global Director of Infrastructure at Merieux NutriSciences. “So, we created an internal IT consolidation roadmap to migrate all of our data to one commercial-grade production data center and disaster recovery facility. We wanted the systems to be managed by one provider who had the technical expertise and cutting-edge cloud technology to allow easy scale up or down depending on our needs.”
OneNeck proposed putting Merieux NutriSciences’ Oracle EBS, JDE, LIMS, and Citrix applications on ReliaCloud in the TDS HMS Tier 3 data center in Madison, Wis. In addition, OneNeck is establishing a disaster recovery site for Merieux at the TDS HMS Tier 3 data center in Des Moines, Iowa.
“Placing their enterprise systems on ReliaCloud in multiple data centers guarantees Merieux NutriSciences has 100 percent uptime,” said Chuck Vermillion, chief executive officer at OneNeck. “It also means they have more flexibility to scale up or down as needed. And, as they continue to grow their business around the globe, we’ll be with them every step of the way to align their IT with their business needs and ensure they have the right IT infrastructure in place to support their business growth model.”
Vermillion reports that during a Proof of Concept trial, when Merieux NutriSciences was running their applications on ReliaCloud, they witnessed significant improvement in the performance of their applications to end-users.
