Aegis Analytical Corp., has teamed with CTC Laboratory Systems Corp. (CTCLS), a leading solutions provider in Japan, as a reseller partner in the region.
CTCLS will help sell Aegis’ Discoverant software and oversee product implementations and customer support in Japan. A well-known provider to the life sciences industry, CTCLS’ customers include leading pharmaceutical companies in Japan.
“CTCLS is the best partner to help Aegis with our expansion into the Asia Pacific region, and to support local Japanese customers, as well as worldwide customers that have manufacturing facilities in Japan,” said Robert Di Scipio, Aegis president and CEO.
Complementing Aegis’ process development and manufacturing solution, CTCLS delivers a variety of solutions such as laboratory information management software, gene analysis software, adverse event reporting and clinical trial management software to the Japanese market.
Together, they add critical value by reducing business and patient risk through the identification and control of process variability within manufacturing.
Computer bits are binary, with a value of 0 or 1. By contrast, neurons in the brain can have all kinds of different internal states, depending on the input that they received. This allows the brain to process information in a more energy-efficient manner than a computer. A new study hopes to bring the two closer together.
MIT researchers have developed a cryptographic system that could help neural networks identify promising drug candidates in massive pharmacological datasets, while keeping the data private. Secure computation done at such a massive scale could enable broad pooling of sensitive pharmacological data for predictive drug discovery.
