Agilent Technologies Inc. has announced that it will celebrate customer achievements and introduce a new range of laboratory solutions at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry's (ASMS) Annual Conference, June 14-19 in Baltimore, Maryland. The new collection of instruments, software and services will help users push the boundaries of achievement and transform laboratory productivity.

"We invite all ASMS conference attendees to join us in celebrating 40 years of outstanding achievement in mass spectrometry," said Monty Benefiel, vice president and general manager of Agilent's GC and GC/MS Solutions Division. "We will showcase our latest product innovations and, most important, celebrate the accomplishments of our GC/MS, LC/MS and ICP-MS users working in diverse applications ranging from -omics to pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, food safety, environmental science and more."

Agilent will host a variety of scientific seminars and poster presentations at the conference, as well as special events for media, customers and guests. On Saturday evening, plenary guest speaker Dr. Richard Yost, professor and head of analytical chemistry at the University of Florida, will share his reflections on nearly a half-century of designing and using mass spectrometry systems.

His presentation will be followed by breakout sessions that focus on applied -omics for the bio/pharmaceutical industry. Other leading scientists and industry partners will discuss new breakthroughs in mass spectrometry that address a wide range of applications and industries.

"We look forward to meeting with our customers and guests and introducing new products that optimize laboratory performance and provide improved mass spectrometry solutions to help advance scientific discovery," said Yvonne Linney, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Life Science Solutions Division.

Agilent management will host a press conference Monday, June 16, 1:30-2:30 p.m., at the Hilton, Baltimore, 2nd floor, Key Ballroom 5, and will be live-tweeting from the session via @Agilent.
