IDBS has announced that Danone Research, Centre for Specialised Nutrition, has implemented IDBS’ E-WorkBook. The deployment delivers a collaborative data and process management platform across Danone’s global research centers which will consolidate R&D groups. With E-WorkBook, Danone will benefit from improved data accessibility, knowledge sharing and reuse of data across units.

“We selected the IDBS solution, because they have experience working in complex knowledge-based environments. Additionally, we appreciate the flexibility of E-WorkBook and its compatibility with our existing systems. We are looking forward to integrating the new tool into our R&D activities once deployment is complete,” said Dr Hanno Cappon, VP Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition R&D, Danone Research.

Danone Research, Centre for Specialised Nutrition, is a life sciences innovation unit for the development of new product concepts for Baby Nutrition and Medical Nutrition. It creates formulas that provide clinically substantiated health benefits to vulnerable consumers including infants, young children, the elderly and patients. Danone Research was looking for a solution that would help them bring together five international R&D communities.

Using E-WorkBook Danone’s scientists can share data more easily, collaborate across research areas and store structured and unstructured data. The robust, scalable and secure informatics platform is proven to support organizations to become even more efficient and productive. It can help scientists save a significant number of hours a week by enabling users to find data faster as well as completing projects and reporting quicker. Tasks can take up to 40% less time.

Neil Kipling, CEO and Founder of IDBS said, “E-WorkBook is a fundamental building block for effective multidisciplinary R&D. Its collaborative capabilities ensure it is well placed to support Danone Research in its visionary quest to bring together R&D teams. Recently we have seen a significant adoption of E-WorkBook in the Food and Drink sector, which demonstrates the broad applicability of our platform software.”
