Further advancing this mobile strategy, Accelrys Capture is a new mobile multi-media capture application that facilitates rapid, paperless recording at the laboratory bench, significantly improving workflow flexibility, efficiency and productivity.
Accelrys technology has raised the bar in ensuring that laboratory data meets prerequisite requirements before being recorded, thereby reducing review time and rework loops and providing regulated companies with the potential for significant cost savings. New Mobile Technology Facilitates Accurate, Real-time Recording at the Bench
Accelrys Capture allows scientists to work more intuitively, efficiently and productively with laboratory informatics software like the Accelrys Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN). The application’s easy-to-use interface provides a straightforward and secure way for scientists to enter information, view procedures, capture data from laboratory instrumentation by using small mobile devices and leverage built-in functionality such as cameras that facilitate both the recording and sharing of experimental findings.
By putting procedures and data directly into scientists’ hands, Accelrys Capture offers the following benefits:

Accelrys Capture is initially provided as an addition to the Accelrys Electronic Laboratory Notebook for fast and easy data capture at the bench; it will subsequently be extended to other laboratory informatics products such as Accelrys LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and Accelrys LES (Laboratory Execution System).
Through integration with the Accelrys Enterprise Platform, Accelrys Capture gains access to additional functionality available in the Accelrys Component Collections including the Accelrys Mobile Collection which allows developers to build scientific protocols for deployment to mobile devices. The Accelrys Enterprise Platform gives scientists the capability to quickly search reference information and track the decisions impacting their laboratory work and research hypotheses.
