AI Platform Accelerates Biomedical Literature Reviews
Rodent2Human (R2H), has launched Clarisyn, an AI-powered evidence synthesis platform that helps biomedical researchers move from literature search to structured scientific reports. Now open to anyone at no cost, Clarisyn allows users to ask a scientific question in plain language and receive a referenced report within minutes.
Biomedical researchers face growing pressure to make early research decisions from fragmented and often contradictory evidence. Full systematic reviews in the health sciences can require around a thousand hours of manual work, 1 yet early target and safety questions often need to be answered far faster. Clarisyn is designed to support that preliminary evidence-gathering stage by bringing relevant data, literature and expert interpretation into a more structured workflow.
When a researcher submits a question, Clarisyn assigns it to several specialized AI agents that each investigate from a different angle. The system draws on more than 200 datasets spanning peer- reviewed literature, clinical trials, chemical databases and protein structures. The agents then compare their findings, flag areas of agreement or uncertainty and generate an output organised into three layers: the key conclusions, the reasoning and scoring behind them, and every source used to reach them.
That design is what sets Clarisyn apart. Where most AI tools stop at finding papers, Clarisyn is built to synthesize the evidence within them. Unlike tools focused primarily on retrieval or summarization, it evaluates evidence across sources, surfaces where findings conflict, and makes clear how each conclusion was reached. Researchers remain in control of the process, and can review reports collectively with their teams or bring in an independent expert where deeper interpretation is required.
“In the lab, I saw how much time disappears into gathering and reconciling evidence,” said Dr. Ravza Nazlı, co-founder of Rodent2Human and a physician with an MSc in Experimental Pharmacology from UCL. “Clarisyn was built to make that process faster, more transparent and easier to interrogate. As a medical doctor, I also know the literature doesn’t always reflect what happens with real patients, so the platform allows researchers to involve independent experts before using a report to inform a research decision.”
The platform’s approach has already attracted specialist support. “Clarisyn turns days of literature review into minutes, delivering a structured, reliable report that is immediately usable. Where deeper expert interpretation is needed, its built-in consultation pathway turns that starting point into a genuinely collaborative tool,” said Professor Alan Boobis OBE, Emeritus Professor of Toxicology at Imperial College London and former Chair of the UK Committee on Toxicity, who advises Rodent2Human.
