Autoscribe Informatics is delighted to announce that it has appointed Katalysis Scientific Instrumentation as its distributor in Brazil to sell, configure and support the Matrix family of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) products. Located in Baureri, near São Paulo, Katalysis supports scientific instruments and software. Well known in the Brazilian market, Katalysis provides services on HP / Agilent equipment and represents brands such as: Peak Scientific, Persee and LCTech, among other instrument suppliers.
Becoming an Autoscribe Informatics distributor enables Katalysis to provide, configure and support Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) within Brazil, significantly extending its laboratory software capabilities.
“South America, and Brazil in particular, has a significant laboratory infrastructure to support its advanced industrial sector. Key industries include Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing and Food and Beverage,” said Steve Boother, Managing Director at Autoscribe Informatics. “With a large laboratory customer base, good knowledge of the market, local language capabilities and technical expertise, Katalysis is the ideal partner to address this market.”
Matrix Gemini LIMS is particularly suitable to this market because of its unique No-Code Development Platform (NCDP), allowing non-programmers to configure the application through a graphical user interface instead of traditional computer programming. In use since 1996, Matrix Configuration Tools are a well proven NCDP technology providing the ability to modify screen designs, terminology, reports, workflows and more, within the LIMS to quickly meet user requirements with no changes to the underlying software code. This allows Katalysis to tailor LIMS solutions to the exact needs of individual laboratories in their local markets.
Technical Director, Renato Gouvêa said, “Katalysis has two decades of experience working in a broad range of industries in Brazil. Matrix Gemini is the ideal LIMS solution for this market because it is highly adaptive, enabling it to meet the needs of every laboratory type through configuration alone. This allows Katalysis to integrate laboratory management software with the scientific instruments we support, providing real value for our clients.”
