Core Informatics, a leading provider of data management solutions to the life sciences, molecular diagnostics and energy industries, has announced the release of Core LIMS, ELN, SDMS version 4.2. This release further extends the configurability of the Core LIMS product and enables Core’s customers to respond more promptly to their rapidly changing informatics needs.

The 4.2 release extends the ability to configure personalized applications to include dashboard displays with administrator-defined dynamic content so organizations can share visibility of reports in real time. Gadgets, charts and feeds are all objects that can be incorporated into dashboards. The release also provides the ability to create schedules for any object allowing scientists to reserve, monitor and trend objects like laboratory instruments, testing facilities, key individuals and critical reagents.

Core 4.2 Features:

Dashboards for Operational Metrics
Calendar Function for Scheduling and Monitoring Instruments
Native Integration with Microsoft Office Web Apps
Graph and Trend Sample Assay Data
Expanded Set of APIs for Rapid Application Integration
Automated Messaging for Real Time Status Updates
Generate Certificate of Analysis Reports

The Core SDK has been enhanced with additional REST web service calls to support integration with ERP, MES and SCADA applications. Administrators now have the ability to define transfer maps for non-standard transfers and expanded trigger capability for automating data capture using CoreScript, a new engine for automating unique laboratory work flows.

“The Core Informatics team is excited about version 4.2 and its ground breaking features around resource scheduling, key performance metric dashboards and seamless integration with Microsoft Office Web Apps.” – Dave Williams, Vice President of Sales.
