ETH Zurich Selects DNASTAR Lasergene Sequence Analysis Software

DNASTAR has announced that the Department of Biology of ETH Zurich has selected DNASTAR Lasergene software as its sequence analysis software platform for its members.

A spokesperson for the department indicated, “Lasergene is an easy to use software package that is ideal for meeting our research and educational needs. It is a comprehensive DNA, RNA and protein sequence analysis software package that meets our needs exceptionally well. Entering into this long-term site license arrangement helps ensure that our scientists, staff and students have access to the best sequence analysis software tools in the market for many years to come.”

Tom Schwei, Vice President and General Manager of DNASTAR, stated, “On behalf of DNASTAR, I am quite pleased and honored that the Biology Department of ETH Zurich has chosen our software to meet a broad range of needs for their scientists’ research and their students’ education. For more than a generation, we have been known as the leading provider of DNA, RNA and protein sequence analysis software for research and education. We are gratified to be selected by ETH Zurich and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with them.”

Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.
