The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), a private, nonprofit organization that promotes entrepreneurial efforts in North Carolina named EA one of the winners for the second annual North Carolina Companies to Watch awards.
This award honors growth-stage companies that demonstrate high performance in the marketplace, but also exhibit innovative products and a dynamic workplace culture.
North Carolina Companies to Watch focus on second-stage entrepreneurs - companies between 5-99 employees and $1-50 million in annual revenue.
This sector of companies represents 9.6% of all companies in NC, but an astounding 36.2% of all jobs in the state. Since 2009 EA has doubled its head count and revenue and has continued to be a leader in its field.
Karen Michailo, Senior Director of Marketing stated, “Quality customer service is at the core of EA’s success. In a 2010 survey 94% of respondents rated their overall satisfaction as high. The same percentage planned to continue to do business with EA and, 100% of the respondents would recommend EA to a colleague.”
Michailo continued, “Since 2006 through the present EA has a customer retention rate of 85%, which is outstanding for a project-based organization.”
EA was selected from 190 nominees statewide and will be honored at a awards ceremony on Wednesday, September 21, 2011.
