The 3500 MiD® is the size of a standard desktop computer and with very few additional infrastructure requirements is smaller, lighter, quieter, more energy efficient, and cheaper to run than conventional MS systems. MS is widely accepted as the 'gold standard' method for identifying individual chemicals in samples and is used routinely across multiple sectors, including government, energy, utilities, pharmaceutical, diagnostics and healthcare, environmental, food and drink, security and defence, and industrial chemicals.

Visitors to the website will have the opportunity to learn more about the advanced ‘ionchip’ technology behind the Microsaic 3500 MiD® as well as applications of the system. Historically, MS has only been used for off-line analysis but because the 3500 MiD® is so compact it can also be used for on-line reaction monitoring in a fume-hood. Monitoring of batch reactions in real time provides a chemist with instant reaction data, which can be acted upon to adjust reaction conditions to ensure success, maximise yield, save material and reduce reaction time.

The 3500 MiD® is designed to readily integrate with existing HPLC separations equipment with no extra footprint, extending the capability of an HPLC system with significant cost savings compared to a conventional MS system.

For analytical chemists a technical support portal within the website will give them access to detailed information on the use of the Microsaic 3500 MiD® with HPLC and other separation systems and offer them the chance to sign-up to receive emails on the latest product and application information.

Eric Yeatman, Acting CEO of Microsaic Systems plc, said:

“With the launch of our new website, Microsaic offers users of the Microsaic 3500 MiD®, an indispensable resource that provides detailed technical information on the product and how to use it. We have expanded our team to include dedicated application engineers who will be supporting customers and populating the site’s technical support portal with application notes and published research papers that will offer the growing number of users of our product the technical support they need online. Ready access to information of this type is essential to support our direct customers and OEM partners.”
