UNIConnect, a leading provider of laboratory information management systems (UNIFlow™) that offer breakthrough software technology to empower laboratories with complete control over customization, configuration, and process management announced today the release of its molecular diagnostics software.  The company further noted that it  will be previewing the software at the Association for Molecular Pathology conference from November 17 to November 19, 2011, at the Gaylord Texan, Grapevine, Texas.

A critical focus for UNIConnect continues to be the applicability of its software to highly specialized areas of science, including molecular diagnostics and personalised medicine – two areas that are increasingly important in the fight against a wide range of diseases.

UNIConnect’s molecular diagnostics module in UNIFlow captures all of the high level commonalities of diagnostic labs yet leaves room for flexibility in the areas where the lab wants to process samples in a way that is unique to its specific operation.  No longer will labs need to be held back by an inflexible LIMS.  With UNIFlow, laboratory process improvements are encouraged, embraced, and fully supported.

“Our focus has always been to develop and build our software around two seemingly opposite ideas – strength and flexibility,” said William S. Harten, founder and chief executive officer of UNIConnect.  “UNIFlow’s unique structure gives its users full control over customization and configuration, thus dramatically reducing development and deployment times – a clear competitive advantage. Moreover, UNIFlow was designed to uniquely address the depth, complexity, and rapid change of molecular science.”
