Ventana Medical Systems, Inc. (Ventana), a member of the Roche Group, has announced a first-of-its-kind integration of the VIRTUOSO digital pathology software and VANTAGE workflow management solution, bringing unprecedented workflow integration to the anatomic pathology lab.
The VIRTUOSO -VANTAGE integration enables pathologists and lab managers to track the progress of a slide from preparation to digitization along with other critical slide information, giving the lab unprecedented visibility into their processes to optimize lab workflow.

The VANTAGE workflow solution is another Ventana first in the industry. It automates, streamlines, and integrates lab work and information flow to provide maximum productivity and patient safety gains. VIRTUOSO image management software is a web-based application that orchestrates the workflow around the digital slide, from the moment the slide is scanned until the slide image is viewed and the results reported.
With this integration, slide data is now seamlessly shared between VIRTUOSO and VANTAGE. This facilitates the exchange of information between pathologists and lab managers, resulting in improved communications and a more streamlined workflow while maintaining high quality.
