The Waters™ Charged Aerosol Detector (CAD) is purposely designed to integrate with Waters liquid chromatography (LC) systems within Empower™ Software or MassLynx™ Software and expands the LC detector portfolio by adding a sensitive, near universal detector.

Attention has been paid to optimize and simplify the transfer of existing CAD methods to the new detector, which is simple to maintain and is available with Empower Software-based qualification. The Waters CAD is suitable for the analysis of non-volatile and semi-volatile analytes.

The CAD takes advantage of familiar acquisition control strategies, including the ACQUITY™ console control interface and the single version is configurable across most of the Waters LC portfolio, delivering high performance for most applications. The new CAD features an integrated divert valve and built-for-CAD nebulizer to improve the overall LC system’s robustness with front access for all routine operations.
