EMBO Conference: The Nucleosome: From Atoms to Genomes
Event Aug 30 - Sep 01, 2017
Location: Heidelberg, Germany
This meeting will bring together researchers at the leading edge of structural, genomic and functional perspectives of chromatin. The core objective is to review, integrate and extend links between nucleosome structural properties and chromatin functional roles. This will enable a fuller appreciation of the continuity between atomic details and genome-wide behaviour that underlies the highly conserved histone-based packaging of almost all eukaryotic genomes.
The nucleosome is the fundamental building block of chromatin organisation and genome function. The 20th anniversary of the high resolution nucleosome structure marks a milestone for bringing together leading researchers to update progress and identify opportunities for an integrated understanding of the role of the nucleosome in chromatin function.
