Indiana CTSI Opens Neuroscience Clinical Research Center

INDIANAPOLIS -- The new Neurosciences Clinical Research Center (room 5101, Health Neurosciences Building (Goodman Hall)) will provide a space to meet and administer treatments to patients participating in neuroscience clinical trials adjacent to the researchers conducting these studies. The 3,705-square foot space houses five exams rooms, a consultation room, a sample processing lab, a kitchen and office space for clinical research staff members.

IU School of Medicine researchers whose labs are located in the space adjacent to the clinic in Goodman Hall include:

• Martin Farlow, M.D., professor of neurology
• David Kareken, Ph.D., professor of neurology and clinical psychology
• David Mattson, M.D., professor of neurology
• Brenna McDonald, O.D., assistant professor of radiology and imaging sciences and neurology
• Robert Pascuzzi, M.D., chair and professor of neurology
• Andrew Saykin, O.D., director of the Center for Neuroimaging and Raymond C. Beeler Professor of Radiology, and professor of radiology and imaging sciences, clinical psychology, neurology, and medical and molecular genetics
• Karmen Yoder, Ph.D., assistant professor of radiology and imaging sciences

The new center is a satellite of the Clinical Research Center, a part of the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, which oversees clinical trials across IU and Purdue. The site will be staffed for outpatient visits three days per week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with additional hours available for patient screenings.
