Nonlinear Dynamics Ltd has announced an updated release of TL120, the advanced software solution for the analysis of 1D gel data. This release constitutes the latest development in Nonlinear's TotalLab product range for 1D gel applications.

TL120, previously known as Phoretix 1D, is an advanced image analysis solution which is designed to deliver an extensive range of features for the in-depth analysis of 1D electrophoresis gels and band pattern matching.

The release now incorporates an extended set of image editing tools along with enhanced gel visualisation and improved usability options.

TL120 can be teamed with the TL120 DM database component, which enables data mining, lane relationship studies and complex analysis queries. The software is available to both PC and Mac users.

Dr Dhan Bhandari of the Campden & Chorleywood Food Research Association Group (CCFRA), said, "We have been using TL120 for some time now within our research activities."

"It is a core analysis component for accurate quantitation of protein composition in foodstuffs following separation using 1D gel electrophoresis."

"The software offers outstanding ease of use and we feel it is hard to beat in terms of accuracy and performance. These features are central to delivering the highly objective and reliable analysis results that our clients expect."

He added, "It is good to see Nonlinear reaffirm it's commitment to 1D users in this latest development to an already first-rate product."

Beth Rossiter from Operational Marketing at Nonlinear Dynamics, said, "Developing leading edge image analysis solutions for 1D techniques remain an important priority for us and we are delighted to announce this updated release."

"TL120 is an extremely powerful yet adaptable analysis tool; the updated release builds on an established and robust feature set and we consider it to be best-in-class for detailed 1D gel electrophoresis research studies."
