IBA has announced the release of Strep-MAB, an antibody suited for protein interaction analysis on Biacore® systems.

Strep-MAB is a murine, high-affinity Strep-tag® II specific monoclonal antibody designed for stable, mild and oriented capture of Strep-tag fusion proteins onto solid phases.

The antibody can be immobilized onto surfaces such as microplates, Biacore Sensor Chip CM5 or other biochips.

“We compared the Biacore sensorgram of the interaction between a Strep-tag fusion protein and Strep-MAB with the interaction of a competitive antibody,” states Dr. Thomas Koblizek, who is in charge of R&D at IBA GmbH.

“It was significant that the recombinant protein of interest remained tightly bound to Strep-MAB while a large amount of Strep-tag protein was washed off using the competitive antibody.”
