Freelance Science Writer
Dr. Katie Minns received her PhD in Biomedical Sciences in 2016. She developed her passion for molecular biology as a microbiologist in a contract research organization and as a healthcare scientist team leader at Public Health England. She expanded her knowledge of the industry while working for the Minister for Life Sciences and in the Government’s Life Sciences Organisation. Katie moved into science communication in 2021, starting as an in-house scientific content writer at a life sciences company specializing in genomic analysis, and is now working on a freelance basis.
