Harnessing the power of biological systems to synthesize proteins has enabled the production of numerous life-changing biopharmaceuticals. Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells are widely used to produce recombinant proteins via cell culture, but this approach has a major caveat: these host cells also produce various proteins to support normal cell growth, survival and proliferation. These host cell proteins (HCPs) pose a risk for immunogenicity of biotherapeutic products and must be reduced to sufficiently low levels to ensure safety and efficacy.

  • Dilutional linearity enhances reliability
  • Undetected HCP can be minimized
  • Consistently low variation ensures reproducible data
