Scaffold Proteomics Data Mining Software Sold with Sage-N Sorcerer™ Systems

Read time: Less than a minute

Sage-N Research, Inc. has signed an agreement to distribute the Scaffold proteomics data mining software from Proteome Software, primarily to use with Sorcerer Integrated Data Appliances (IDAs).

Under the terms of the agreement, Sage-N Research will sell standalone Scaffold software as well as versions integrated into Sorcerer IDAs within North America, Europe, Japan, and Asia-Pacific (except for Taiwan).

The Sorcerer IDA with Scaffold is designed to provide the integrated proteomics solution that can handle up to one million spectra or more with built-in automated false positive estimation using reverse sequences.

"The Sorcerer IDAs are already the gold standard for low maintenance, high throughput automated proteomics searching of large mass spectrometry datasets using Sequest," said David Chiang, C.E.O. of Sage-N Research.

"Scaffold complements the Sorcerer automated tools to allow biologists to get deeper insights by interactively comparing different experiments and search engines."

Scaffold runs on individual PCs or workstations using Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux.

It will be sold by Sage-N Research as standalone software applications to work with existing Sorcerer workgroup IDA products, as well as integrated into future Sorcerer personal IDA products.
