Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. has announced the availability of Bio-Rad’s product application guide (bulletin 5449A), which describes the application of Bio Rad’s ProteOn™ NLC sensor chip for antibody-antigen, DNA-protein, and protein-protein interactions.

In this four-page application guide, researchers at the Weizmann Institute and the Technion in Israel demonstrate the determination of kinetic rate constants for three typical bimolecular model interactions.

Using Bio-Rad’s ProteOn XPR36 protein interaction array system and NLC sensor chips, each of the three models studied use a simple two-step protocol consisting of the immobilization of one concentration of biotinylated ligand, followed by injection of six different concentrations of analyte.

The results demonstrate the efficiency of the one-shot kinetics technique described in the introduction by V. Bronner, et al, in the paper entitled, “Rapid and efficient determination of kinetic rate constants using the ProteOn XPR36 protein interaction array system”,  Bio-Rad bulletin 3172, published in 2006.

Supported by sensorgram and other graphic figures, the application guide contains a detailed introduction, methods description, results discussion, and a conclusion.
