Bio-Rad Issues Guide for Biomarker Discovery Using SELDI Technology

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. has announced the availability of a new guide “Biomarker Discovery Using SELDI Technology: A Guide to Data Processing and Analysis Using ProteinChip® Data Manager Software,” Bio-Rad bulletin 5814.
The new guide describes the concepts and workflow involved in the processing and analysis of data generated with the ProteinChip SELDI system for biomarker research using the ProteinChip data manager software.
For each stage of biomarker analysis, from data organization through the selection of biomarker candidates, the guide presents a description of the importance of each step and provides recommended software settings.
Also included in the guide are descriptions of relevant statistical concepts and examples of how each step affects the final data analysis. In addition, a more detailed summary of the workflow steps is provided in the bulletin’s appendix.
