GE Healthcare launches the NanoVue™ Plus spectrophotometer for the quantification of nucleic acids & protein samples. It can measure volumes as low as 0.5µl due to the “drop and measure” sample plate and does not require cuvettes or capillaries.

The NanoVue Plus features the latest sample plate for the NanoVue spectrophotometers. The plate is hydrophobic which enables sample recovery and cleaning, helping to prevent carry-over between measurements.

The built-in software provides a user-friendly interface, with drop-down lists that include methods for measuring common fluors including the full CyDye™ range. Researchers can also choose from a wide range of storage methods and data output options, such as integrated printer option, Print-Via-Computer software, optional wireless connectivity and new SD card accessory.

Other features include:
• Stand-alone instrument with small foot-print and without PC- freeing up valuable bench space
• Wide wavelength range from 200-1100nm – providing the scope for a great range of samples
• 90 user-defined methods can be stored with password protection – ideal for multi-user labs

The new sample plate, SD card reader and latest software can be fitted onto existing NanoVue instruments.
