Cell Projects (UK) offers a new kit for extracting DNA from buccal swabs. The Isohelix Buccalyse Kit is formulated to produce high yields of PCR-ready DNA using a single step/single tube method.
The Company explains that the benefits include reduced handling times of around 10 minutes, together with improved yields of 2 to 4µg DNA from a single swab. Also the kits require no centrifugation or solvent based chemicals.
