Phoenix S&T Announces Availability of SureSpray™ Technology

Read time: 1 minute

Phoenix S&T, Inc. has announced the availability of the SureSpray™ technology which transforms the mass spectrometry analysis of proteins and metabolites from a challenging and often variable process into a dependable operation.

Increased levels of information are obtained by researchers using the technology since less time is spent optimizing methods and re-running failed samples.

"Our collaborators have found the SureSpray™ technology to be superior to other pre-fabricated solutions they have used," says Sau Lan Staats, President of Phoenix S&T.

"One customer said he was "shocked" by how well the nozzle sprayed during his nanoLC experiments. Additionally they have found that both the chip and column formats have demonstrated an unprecedented lifetime and degree of stability."

One of the main challenges in the determination of important biological molecules is the sensitive yet highly confident determination of the quantity and identify of these compounds by mass spectrometry.

With SureSpray™ technology, the orifice is larger, and the inert plastic surfaces reduce the clogging and variation in signal intensity.

Additionally the high-dielectric polymeric material of the SureSpray™ technology allows the liquid sample to generate the electric field for optimized spraying.

The SureSpray™ technology is built upon inventions by the Founder and President, Sau Lan Staats.

"When I looked at many of the micro-devices being developed in life sciences, one need that always persisted was the ability to create small uniform channels and passageways in a cost-effective process."

"By developing this new methodology we expect to bring many new products to the market that will facilitate biomolecule analysis in a robust and cost-effective manner."

SureSpray™ technology is now available for shipment and is available in chip format as well as HPLC columns with pre-fitted high sensitivity SureSpray™ nozzles.
