Thermo Fisher Scientific, has announced the availability of Thermo Scientific Pierce Protein A/G Magnetic Beads and Pierce Protein A/G Magnetic IP/Co-IP Kits.

These new products provide a fast, convenient method for manual and automated magnetic isolation and immunoprecipitation (IP) of proteins using affinity binding.

The beads are validated for numerous techniques including IP, co-immunoprecipitation (co-IP), gel electrophoresis, Western blotting and mass spectrometry.

The Pierce® Protein A/G Magnetic Beads are iron oxide particles covalently coated with a monolayer of Protein A/G.

The beads offer a high binding capacity of 55-85 micrograms of rabbit IgG per milligram of magnetic particles, with low non-specific background.

Pierce Protein A/G Magnetic Beads are easily removed from the solution manually using a magnetic stand or by automation using equipment such as the Thermo Scientific KingFisher Flex Instrument.

The Pierce Protein A/G Magnetic Beads are available alone or as part of a comprehensive kit for IP or co-IP methods.
