Thermo Fisher Scientific Offers New Protein Stain
Thermo Fisher Scientific, has announced the availability of the Thermo Scientific PageBlue Protein Staining Solution.
This unique solution uses the colloidal properties of coomassie G-250 dye to stain proteins in polyacrylamide gels and on polyvinylidene (PVDF) membranes.
The solution exhibits a dynamic range of 5 to 500 nanograms, which is 10-times more sensitive than typical coomassie R-250-based stains.
The ready-to-use PageBlue Protein Staining Solution requires no protein fixation steps or special destaining steps. It contains no methanol or acetic acid, making it safer to use than other commercially available protein stains.
