Waters Streamlines High-Throughput Dynamic and Static Light Scattering of Biotherapeutic Formulations With the DynaPro Plate Reader 4 and DYNAMICS Touch Interface
Waters Corporation (NYSE:WAT) has announced the release of the DynaPro™ Plate Reader 4 with DYNAMICS Touch™ Interface, enabling simplified, walk-up operation for dynamic and static light scattering analysis of biotherapeutics, including monoclonal antibodies, therapeutic proteins, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), vaccines, virus-like particles, and biosimilars. Built upon the trusted performance of the DynaPro Plate Reader III, the modernized system is equipped with onboard DYNAMICS Touch Software, controlled via a touchscreen display. Users can set up experiments, run samples, and monitor system diagnostics directly from the system, with comprehensive analysis and reporting available through the PC-based DYNAMICS™ Software.
Scientists must assess the safety and stability of biotherapeutic formulations as quickly and reliably as possible, and this means understanding the biophysical properties of nanoparticles, proteins, macromolecules, and colloids, ranging in size from less than one nanometer up to a few micrometers. The DynaPro Plate Reader 4 with DYNAMICS Touch Interface streamlines the process of gaining critical insight needed to accelerate decision-making in early-stage biopharmaceutical development, and required by regulatory authorities in later-stage development, such as the size distribution and aggregation of proteins and nanoparticles in solution.
Designed to provide a cost-effective and higher-throughput alternative to custom plate or cuvette-based instruments, the DynaPro Plate Reader 4 is compatible with ISO and ASTM industry-standard 96, 384, and 1536 microwell plates, allowing for easy integration with automated liquid-handling workflows. In addition, the DYNAMICS Touch Software provides an intuitive interface, enhancing productivity and reducing the reliance on specialized personnel.
