TripleTOF® 6600 LC-MS/ MS System with ZipChip
There are many challenges when analysing charge variants of biotherapeutics, especially when traditional chromatography approaches require method development for each molecule. While capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) is a gold standard method for rapid charge variant analysis, it can still be difficult to determine the identity of the separated species. In short, it is challenging to deploy a platform that both provides charge variant identification and is suitable for a release assay.
Until now.
The ZipChip system coupled with the TripleTOF® 6600 LC-MS/MS System work together to enable a complete solution for charge variant identification to inform charge variant release assay.
The ZipChip system allows for turnkey analysis of proteins with easy-to-use kits for a variety of protein workflows as well as dependable online quantification and identification of protein charge variants. It is also a platform assay that requires no method development across a very wide range of biotherapeutics.
High-resolution mass spectra from the TripleTOF 6600 System, when combined with the inline charge-based separation of the ZipChip system, provides unambiguous identification of the neutral, acidic and basic species.
The gold standard charge variant assay just went platinum. SCIEX offers a highly flexible and reliable solution to better meet the challenges of charge variant analysis with the ZipChip system coupled with the TripleTOF 6600 System.
