Antibody-Based Therapeutics Against Cancer: Emerging Targets and Research Tools
Immunotherapies harness the power of the immune system to fight cancer. Antibody-based immunotherapy is now considered to be a key therapeutic strategy against several cancers, with several therapeutic antibodies already approved for clinical use. Antibodies can elicit or enhance the body’s immune response by directly targeting tumor cells via their association with antigens, typically found in greater numbers on the surface of tumor cells compared to healthy cells.
Researchers are now working to discover novel targets to broaden the potential use of therapeutic antibodies in cancer therapy.
Hear more about the tools being developed to identify emerging targets and discover how these resources are helping to support and innovate therapeutic antibody research.
