Using Proteomics to Develop Advanced Protein Biomarker Tests that Address Key Unmet Clinical Needs in Psoriatic Disease.

Speaking at the ‘Advances in Proteomics & Metabolomics’ online symposium 2021, Professor Stephen Pennington from University College Dublin and Atturos Ltd; presented his talk on ‘Using Proteomics to Develop Advanced Protein Biomarker Tests that Address Key Unmet Clinical Needs in Psoriatic Disease.’

AbstractIn this presentation the challenges of developing new protein biomarker tests and delivering them to use for patient benefit will be described and possible solutions introduced. Emphasis will be placed on the analytical validation of new multiplexed protein biomarker assays and their use in multi-centre evaluation and validation studies to support the development of new tests to improve patient outcomes in psoriatic disease. Patient engagement and use of patient-centric sampling devices for effective test delivery will be described.
