In vivo assays are considered the most informative but are costly and laborious. In vitro assays can be carried out expeditiously, are less expensive and are easier to interpret. This paper outlines validation studies of the Bio-Plex human cancer biomarker panel 1, a magnetic bead-based assay developed to gain a global view of angiogenesis and other important cancer –related processes in one simple assay.
