ENRICHMENT AND PURIFICATION OF CD3+ T-CELLS FROM HUMAN UMBILICAL CORD BLOOD

Quad Technologies’ has partnered with the University of Massachusetts Medical School (Worcester, MA, USA) to evaluate the performance of the MagCloudz™ Streptavidin cell separation kit. The goal of this study was to isolate and purify CD3+ T-cells from human umbilical cord blood (HUCB) for subsequent use in in vivo humanized mouse models. Here, we present representative data highlighting the enrichment, purity and viability of CD3+ T-cell populations isolated from HUCB using our MagCloudz™ Streptavidin cell separation kit with biotinylated-anti-CD3 antibody (clone UCHT1, eBioscience). Detailed protocols are available at www.quadtechnologies.com. Recovered T-cell populations were highly pure (>95 %), highly viable (> 94%) and magnetic-label free, which makes them ideal for further functional studies. Sustained viability and proliferation assays on recovered T-cells are currently underway.
